SKY DIGITAL is the best way to receive Digital TV to date, there are 2 types Sky and Sky Plus.
There are many deals and different ways of getting sky and package prices vary.
Anyone can have Sky, the dish is normally fitted on a south facing wall and chimney's can be used but the dish has to be lashed to the chimney and there is a small extra cost for this and a lot of the time Sky themselves will not fit to chimney's. If installed correctly you should have trouble free use of your Sky system, the dish installation is the critical side of the installation, if it is not aligned correctly you will experience picture break up and missing channels. We specialise in none standard installations i.e. Special heights and end of garden installations.
THE STB this is the box that sits under your TV known as the digi box. There are various makes and qualities Panasonic and Pace being the best and you will only ever get one of these from ourselves. This box as a part of the installation on a new install must be connected to a land based telephone socket this is a part of the contractual side of getting sky at a reduced install price. Also the digi box is switched on using a call back function down the telephone line.
PACKAGE PRICES these vary from the bottom package of around £14.00 per month up to the top package of £41.00 per month this includes all sports and movies, Sky 1 etc.
RULE OF THUMB to get sky at discount price fully inclusive of fitting you must subscribe to the top package for 1 month and 1 month only after this you can cut down your package price to whatever suits your needs, you MUST SUBSCRIBE FOR A MINIMUM PERIOD OF 12 MONTHS. within this period you can up and down your package price, after 12 months you can cancel and the digi box is yours to keep and you can receive the free to air channels.
PRICE of standard installation at present is free of charge "this only applies to sky digital not sky plus". This installation consists of a free digital Sky box with a dish fitted to a south facing wall, includes all cabling and must be connected to a telephone socket and must stay connected to the telephone socket as sky ring the box for uploading and down loading information periodically, you will never know that this happens unless you disconnect from the telephone line then Sky will send you a letter asking you to re-connect as this is a part of your contract for 12 months as you are getting a subsidised box which normally cost around £200 to £300. After the 12 months you can then disconnect if you so wish. As the box is yours.
SKY PLUS the second way of receiving sky. This is the digi box that you can record one programme whilst watching another normally they cost £199 plus £ 50 for installation which covers a new quad LNB and a second cable run as there are 2 tuners in the box, ring for current offer.
